Canyon formation

You want to be introduced to the activity, become independent or even be an expert! To explore canyons in France or around the world!

Do not hesitate to come and do training in our U.C.A (Universal Canyoning Academy) certified canyoning center.

Our center is part of a network of training centers present in Europe: Spain, Italy, Greece, Slovenia, Scotland… but also around the world: Canada, New Zealand…

We offer training courses alternating practice and theory for a global understanding of the activity and all its aspects: canyon environment, hydrology, rope techniques, rescue, white water, etc.
When you register, you will receive your courses in digital version with e-learning, and the topoguide of the most beautiful canyons of Haute-Ariège.

The autonomous canyoner training takes place over 7 days plus 3 days of e-learning, it is structured around 4 modules:

• Vertical progression
• Living water, rescue
• Equipment
• Improvement

The expert canyoner training takes place over 8 days, it is organized around 3 modules:

• Equipment and progression
• Rapids
• Management

There are 3 trainers working at the Niaux center: Elsa, Rod and Antoine. All 3 of us are DEJEPS French graduates and certified UCA international trainers. The three of us have practiced canyoning in many places in France and abroad. We have been involved in training for several years, using different teaching tools, and working on psychology and motivation.
